Orange Walk shop owner robbed at gunpoint, police detain one suspect

By BBN Staff: Police have detained one man in connection with an armed robbery that happened in Orange Walk yesterday.

The owner of Taisan Shop in Orange Walk Town told police she was at her business when two men entered the store.

One of the men pulled out a gun and pressed it up against her head, while the other man went behind her counter and stole $1,200 cash.

Thus far, no one has officially been charged for the incident and investigations continue.
