Posted: Thursday, February 4, 2021. 3:00 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department is asking members of the public to share whatever information they have about a home invasion that occurred this week.

On Monday, three assailants dressed in black broke into a house in the US Embassy residential area in Belmopan, occupied by a well-known member of Belize’s Asian community. The men took a toddler hostage, assaulted the occupants in the home, and stole items including jewelry. Police say that the robbers gained access to the house through the backdoor.

Anyone with information on this heinous incident is asked to report what they know by calling 922 or the nearest police station. Tips can also be made anonymously through the P3App at www.P3tips.com.
