Global recoveries from COVID-19 above 78 million

By BBN Staff: Worldometer reports that over 78 million people have recovered from COVID-19 worldwide.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021, global COVID-19 recoveries were at 78,085,564.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases globally stood at 106,429,485. Of those confirmed cases, 25,876,529 were still active, with 104,375 (0.4 percent) listed as serious/critical and the others listed as mild.

The United States, the hardest-hit country in the world by the pandemic, now has more than 27.52 million confirmed cases, more than double that of India, the second-hardest hit by the number of infections. The US has also recorded 473, 543 deaths. India has recorded over 10.8 million cases making it the second hardest-hit country by number of infections, and 155,042 deaths. Brazil has the third-highest number of infections globally (over 9.4 million) but has the second-highest number of deaths, 231,069.

Belize has 12,037 confirmed cases and 306 deaths. There will be no update on the national COVID-19 situation issued today by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. Instead, today’s update will be added to the one issued for Monday, February 8.
