By BBN Staff: For years, Belize has made international news as one of the prime destinations for weddings and honeymoons, and 2021 will be no exception as English luxury Magazine Condé Nast Traveler has listed Belize among its selections for top honeymoon destinations in the world.

In the article titled “The Best Honeymoon Ideas for Every Type of Couple,” which was published today,  Condé Nast highlights the new Ray Caye Island Resort that is located off the coast of Placencia. Ray Caye Island Resort entices those with a love of water activities to spend their honeymoon either relaxing while enjoying the ocean view or getting their fill of water sports.

“The self-sustaining, solar-powered caye has just 20 rooms. And while it’d be easy to do a whole lot of nothing here, Ray Caye rewards adventurers. Guided activities include deep-sea fishing and diving with sea turtles, but couples can also borrow stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and snorkeling gear and explore the isle’s white-sand beaches and miles of coral reef at their own pace,”  Condé Nast said.

Other entrants on the list include The eco-luxe safari in  Botswana, the Cashel Palace Hotel in Ireland, and the  Fari Islands in the Maldives.

Condé Nast has also named several resorts in Belize its Johansens Awards for Excellence 2021 recipients.
