Chamber to Government: E-Governance is the way to go!

By BBN Staff: In addition to the measures to improve Government’s fiscal position, the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in their letter to Prime Minister John Briceno advised government that E-governance is the way to go.

BCCI says that E-Governance promises to improve the way business processes are conducted with Government.

BCCI also reminded of the Trade License reform initiative, the Secured Transaction Registry—among other financial sector reforms.

In reiterating their concerns of slashing public sector salaries, the chamber noted that if after the government has weighed its benefits and costs and decides that public sector wage bill reductions is needed, the chamber will not object.
