Three masked men steal 2017 Toyota Hilux on El Pilar Road

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating an armed hold up and robbery that occurred on Monday afternoon.

Mauricio Alvarado, 39, told police that around 2:30 p.m. yesterday he was driving a 2017 Toyota Hilux on the El Pilar road in Bullet Tree when he saw 3 masked men emerge from the bushes.

The culprits were armed with firearms and demanded that Alvarado stop the vehicle.

When Alvarado stopped the vehicle, the culprits fired shots at him. Alvarado says he ran into the bushes and the culprits stole the vehicle.

The culprits then escaped.

The vehicle was the property of the Institute of Archeology.
