Wanted Guatemalan busted with a shotgun in Belize

By BBN Staff: Guatemalan national, Wilmer Monroy,38, was detained after a search of his home in St. Margaret’s Village led to the discovery of a 16 gauge shotgun and (7)16 gauge cartridges.

Monroy could not show a gun license and was detained pending charges.

A further check with Guatemalan counterparts revealed that Monroy has an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Guatemala for the crime of femicide.
