New committee to work with local producers of dairy products

By BBN Staff: At a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, cabinet supported the establishment of a working committee to include local producers of dairy products to seek ways to create an environment necessary to foster the growth of a competitive dairy sector.

Due to market contraction, the local dairy industry contracted by 53% in January 2021.

This new committee would also find ways to make better use of the excess milk in the market.
