Mayoral and Councilor candidates for Twin Towns nominated

By BBN Staff: Today is nomination day for Mayoral and councilor candidates in all municipalities countrywide.

In the Twin Towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, the PUP’s Mayoral Candidate, Ramon “Monchi” Quiroz is seeking to unseat 3-term UDP Mayor Earl Trapp.

The PUP councilor candidates include Matthew Preston Silva, Shirlene Neal, Aaron Mai, Omar Rodriguez, Alberto Palma and Zahir Figueroa.

The UDP councilor candidates include Lin Valentine, Abdel Cowo, Bernadette Fernandez, Ahmed Figueroa, Mark O’Brien and Iliana Moreno.

The incumbent UDP Mayor, Earl Trapp, is campaigning on continued progress and development in terms of infrastructural development for the Twin Towns.

The PUP candidates are campaigning on initiatives geared at economic growth and equal representation for both Towns including an office in Santa Elena Town.
