Municipal slates to be nominated today

By BBN Staff: Today is nomination day for all Municipal slates around the country.

Candidates will be nominated by 2 other persons that appear on the electors list for their respective municipality.

Those candidates nominated will contest the municipal elections that will be held on March 3, 2021.

In the Twin Towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, the PUP’s Ramon ‘Monchi’ Quiroz and his team; Shirlene Neal, Omar Rodriguez, Alberto Palma, Matthew Silva Preston, Aaron Mai and Zahir Figueroa will attempt to unseat 3 term UDP Mayor Earl Trapp.

Trapp’s team includes newcomers, Abdel Cowo, Ahmed Figueroa, Lin Valentine and Iliana Moreno. From Trapp’s former team, Bernadette Fernandez and Mark O’Brien are seeking re-election.
