NICH congratulates Super Furia Band on 35th Anniversary

By BBN Staff: The National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) today extended congratulations to Orange Walk’s very own,  “The Super Furia Band” as they celebrate their 35th Anniversary.

In 1986, Francisco Alcoser formed the band. Since its formation, the band quickly gained popularity and performed in Belize, Guatemala, Mexico, and in the United States.

Governor-General of Belize, Sir Colville Young issued a Proclamation in recognition of the Band’s outstanding commitment and steadfast dedication to Belize’s musical entertainment.

The band celebrated with a virtual event that was held on Sunday on NICH Facebook page.
