National Student Union to celebrate 3rd Anniversary

By BBN Staff: On Thursday, February 18, the National Student Union of Belize (NSUB) will celebrate its 3rd Anniversary.

The anniversary will be celebrated under the theme “The Learners of Today, The Leaders of Tomorrow” submitted by union member Kyle Reneau.

Reneau says that his inspiration for the theme came from looking at how COVID-19 has affected Belize and how many students are returning to school with a desire to make a difference especially in the healthcare field like himself.

He believes that COVID-19 has shifted the perspective of the collective and ignited a passion to make the world a better place.

“Leadership is like a plant that needs to be watered and nourished for it to grow. For one to grow as a leader of the future, you must have a thirst for new knowledge and new ways of thinking,” a statement from the union said.

The National Student’s Union of Belize continues to champion the cause of youth, students, and higher education in Belize.
