Healthcare Hero, Dr. Marvin Manzanero back to work?

By BBN Staff: Healthcare Hero, Dr. Marvin Manzanero has been recognized by Belizeans for his arduous work as Belize’s Director of Health Services at the start and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In December 2020, Dr. Manzanero himself tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized.

Since then, Manzanero had been on sick leave recuperating from the virus.

On Monday, he returned to work at the Ministry of Health and Wellness but several reports reaching our newsroom indicate that it wasn’t the welcome that was expected.

That is because the former director was reportedly left without an office and a desk to work on.

BBN has reached out to the Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat, and Manzanero for comment but there was no response from either party.
