By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) has confirmed 16 new cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry’s latest daily report showed that the new cases were detected from a sample batch of 522 tests, making for a daily positivity rate of 2.90.

The 16 cases were split between seven females and nine males.

Belize’s national total for confirmed cases now stands at 12,207, with 168 of those cases still active, and another 267 suspected cases still under investigation.
