By BBN Staff: This morning, residents of the Cayo Central constituency lined up outside of the Santa Elena Sports Complex waiting to see the Minister of Natural Resources, Cordel Hyde.
Cayo Central Area Representative Alex Balona says that one of the most common issues in his constituency is the same land being given to more than 1 person.
“Some people have lease and the land was given to someone else and that other person has lease too,” Balona said.
Balona says that most of the people waiting want to update their lease. Another issue is the fact that many have applied for land titles and years have passed and they are still waiting for a response.
Others have applied to survey and are still awaiting permission to do so.
Balona said he is hoping that those residents attending today’s mobile land outreach will get answers.
