Father of Minister of Health and Wellness passes away

By BBN Staff: The father of the Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat who also happens to share the same name, passed away today. Chebat was 91 years old.

He was one of the first merchants to arrive in El Cayo. He built his name by investing in different businesses in San Ignacio Town that are still operating in the municipality today.

His son, the Minister of Health and Wellness posted to his social media page.

“…you left us as gently as you lived.  Our lives have been enriched by your example, your kindness, and your love. Thank you Dad…may the Angels come to greet you and may perpetual light shine upon you,” Chebat said.

BBN extends deep condolences and sympathies to the family of the bereaved and to Minister Chebat.
