Over 180 cases of COVID-19 still active

By BBN Staff: There are still over 180 active cases of COVID-19 in Belize, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).

The total active cases currently stand at 181, with a split of 110 females to 71 males.

The MOHW also has 129 suspected cases under investigation.

The national total for infections as per the latest update stood at 12,244. The Ministry will be issuing another update tomorrow, which will include data for today, Sunday, February 21, as well as Monday, February 22.

The public is urged to continue practicing social distancing in public spaces, limiting outings to essential purposes only, properly wear masks outdoors, and keeping with all other protocols established to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
