Јоеl Ваrdаlеz granted bail on attempted murder charge for allegedly beating common-law wife in the face with a hammer

Posted: Monday, February 22, 2021. 5:30 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Stann Creek resident Joel Bardalez, who made headlines back in January for allegedly beating his common-law wife Sidney Tut, 28, in the face with a hammer, is officially out on bail.

Magistrate Manon Dennison granted Bardalez bail today in Dangriga on several conditions, including that he does not interfere with Tut in any way. Bardalez was represented in court by attorney Richard “Dickie” Bradley. He is scheduled to return to court on March 27.

On December 23, 2020, Bardalez reportedly assaulted Tut, a mother of four children, causing severe damage to her face and breaking several bones. The incident sparked public outrage due to the severity of Tut’s injuries.
