Police seek public assistance with the investigation into home invasion/robbery of Contractor General 

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department is asking members of the public to report what they know about the home invasion/ robbery of Contractor General Omar Mitchell.

On Sunday, February 21, Mitchell was at his home located on the Benque Viejo Road in San Ignacio when four men, one armed with a handgun, assaulted him, tied him up, and stole a number of items from his house along with two vehicles. 

Mitchell survived the ordeal with only minor injuries, while information reaching police suggests that vehicles matching the description of those stolen from Mitchell were seen crossing into Guatemala via Arenal village.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to report it by calling 922, the nearest police precinct, or make a report using the P3 App at www.P3tipps.com.
