Weather: Damp Tuesday ahead but showers will recede

The National Meteorological Service says a relatively moist northeasterly airflow prevails, supporting cloudy skies at times and showers over most areas today. Tonight, showers will mainly affect southern and coastal areas.

High temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees inland and 72 in the hills. Tonight, expect low temperatures of 74 along the coast, 66 inland and 62 in the hills.

Winds are from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots and sea state is light chop.

A high tide is expected at 8:24 this morning and again at 7:11this evening and a low at 12:53 this afternoon. The Sun rose at 6:14 and will set at 5:57 pm.

The extended outlook says a few showers will persist mainly over the South and coast on Wednesday morning, decreasing and becoming isolated through the rest of the day.
