Belize receives donation of 1,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness announced that Belize has received a donation of 1,000 Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccines.

The vaccines arrived in country by cargo flight early this morning.

The Acting Director of Health Services, Dr. Melissa Diaz and Dr. Julio Sabido, from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, were present to officially receive the donation.

This donation was made possible through the Government and people of Barbados.

The Ministry says that an official presentation of this first COVID-19 vaccine arrival will be done through a press conference early next week where additional information will then be publicly shared.
