By BBN Staff: The increase of drug plane interceptions in Mexico especially in Quintana Roo has proved to be a drug trafficking hub, Business Insider reports.

Mexican media reported that on February 5, authorities found a Cessna-type jet partially incinerated after it landed in the community of Nuevo Tabasco, close to Quintana Roo’s border with Campeche.

Authorities suspected that the aircraft was used to transport drugs.

Mexican air force had detected the aircraft but it was found after it was partially destroyed.

Most of those involved in those illicit activities have evaded capture.

And near the Quintana Roo’s border, Belize has also recorded illegal drug plane landings.
