Taiwanese to sponsor road works in Orange Walk North

By Aaron Humes: Area Representative for Orange Walk North and Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration, Ramon Cervantes, has received a donation from Remus Li-Kuo Chen, Ambassador of Taiwan to Belize, in Belize City today concerning road works in his constituency.

The Government of Republic of China (Taiwan) is providing support toward the rehabilitation of the San Jose and Trial Farm village roads in Orange Walk.  

This quick impact project will rehabilitate approximately 14 miles of rural road, providing villagers with safer and accessible routes to vital social services.

Belize and Taiwan have enjoyed cordial diplomatic relations and a robust partnership for more than 30 years. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration would like to take this opportunity to express its heartfelt gratitude to Taiwan for this meaningful contribution.
