San Pedro Police officer vaccinated for COVID-19

By BBN Staff: This week a member of the Belize Police Department out in the San Pedro formation was vaccinated for COVID-19.

The Department said that PC No.1602 Harris Gabourel, who is attached to Community Policing at the San Pedro Police Formation, received his shot as a part of national ongoing efforts to vaccinate frontline workers. Gabourel is assigned to the Public Health Department in San Pedro to enforce that persons are adhering to COVID-19 protocols.

“PC Gabourel works closely with the island Health Care Front liners since March 22nd, 2020, and has become a team member as such with the medical team to be vaccinated,” the Department said.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness began vaccinating frontline workers this week using a donation of 1,000 vaccines donated by the Government of Barbados.
