UDP salutes women on International Women’s Day

By Aaron Humes, Belize City: The United Democratic Party is  saluting women on this International Women’s Day.

“Thanks for your tremendous leadership and indispensable contributions to the development of our communities, our country and the world,” the party says above a photo of leader Patrick Faber flanked by deputy Beverly Williams and parliamentarian Tracey Taegar Panton.

The Party also quotes Caitlin Sisley on the many roles of women, from the national stage to business, saying that “women continue to shape the world through their leadership.”

The UDP has greatly improved its women representation politically, with two elected women area representatives, a Senator and the aforementioned Williams in the party executive.
