Weather: Cold front continues to bring rain, including showers to the center and south of country

The National Meteorological Service says Belize continues to be affected by a cold front over the northwest Caribbean Sea, supporting cloudy skies, showers and rain over the center and South of the country.

High temperatures today are 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 84 degrees inland and 72 in the hills; tonight, it will be 72 degrees along the coast, 64 inland and 60 in the hills.

Winds are from the northeast at 10 to 20 knots and gusty; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution is in effect for occasionally gusty winds and rough seas.

High tide occurred at 7:29 a.m. and will do so again at 6:20 p.m.; a low tide is expected at 11:40 a.m. The Sun rose this morning at 6:06 a.m. and will set at a minute past six this evening.

The extended forecast into Tuesday is for a few showers or periods of rain occurring around the country.
