Belize loses another person to COVID-19

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) is reporting that another patient has died from complications connected to COVID-19. The person is a 64 year old man from Belize City who was intubated and in an induced coma for some time at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).

The latest national pandemic update produced by the MOHW shows that the national total for deaths now stands at 316.

The country’s fatality rate remains at 2.56

The latest death is the second for the month of March.

With COVID-19 vaccines now being rolled out to priority groups, the MOHW is pleading with Belizeans to take their shots without hesitation when their time comes.
