By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Erling Haaland continues his scoring run nailing two goals today to lead German-side Borussia Dortmund to a 5-4 aggregate win over Spanish club Sevilla.
After falling behind 2-0 the Spanish team tied things up at 2-apiece by the end of regulation time, but their 2-3 loss at home left them stranded in the round of eight.
Haaland, who is one of the most sought-after players in Europe right now, is unstoppable up front. He opened the game in the 35th minute and converted again in the 54th giving Dortmund a comfortable two-goal lead. Their 5-2 aggregate seemed insurmountable.
But Sevilla were not going down without trying. They made a fight for it. Youssef En-Nesyri scored a penalty kick in the 68th and another six minutes into injury time, but in the end, it was a tad too late.
Borussia Dortmund will face off with Porto, who edged out Juventus on away goals, in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
Two last-16 matches play Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Paris St Germain (4-1) host Barcelona, while Liverpool (2-0) take on visiting RB Leipzig
