By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says a relatively moist easterly to northeasterly airflow prevails, supporting cloudy skies at times today with a few showers mainly over the South this morning and moving into the center of the country this afternoon and tonight.
High temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 over inland areas, and 76 in the hills; the mercury falls to 77 tonight in coastal areas, 69 inland, and 64 in the hills.
Winds are from the east to northeast at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution remains in effect for locally rough seas, especially in northeasterly swells.
Tides will be high at 9:26 a.m. and again at 9:11 p.m. and low at 2:52 p.m. The Sun rose at 6:03 a.m. and will set at 6:01 p.m.
A few showers will linger over central and southern areas on Friday and then decrease and become isolated on Friday night.
