Vaccinated persons can enter Belize without the COVID-19 test

Posted: Thursday, March 11, 2021. 9:56 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Visitors with proof of COVID-19 immunization can enter Belize and are no longer required to take the COVID-19 test.

According to the Belize Tourism Board, visitors will be required to present their immunization record card. This is in line with a new health order in effect for Belize.

The vaccine must have been administered at least two weeks prior to arrival.

Travelers who have not been vaccinated will still need to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 96 hours of travel or a negative rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours of travel.

Passengers can opt to take the test at the Philip Goldson Airport for US $50.

Visitors departing Belize can also get tested at sites around the country.

The Belize Tourism Board noted that the ease of restrictions comes after the number of daily COVID-19 cases has seen a decrease in Belize.

Currently, the country’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign is ongoing.
