Weather: Fair weather returns as showers decrease

By BBN Staff: Skies will be generally sunny today according to the National Meteorological Service, with some cloudy spells and partly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers will occur in various areas countrywide before decreasing to isolated areas tonight.

High temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees inland and 76 degrees in the hills. Tonight, low temperatures are 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 68 inland and 64 in the hills.

Winds are from the east to northeast at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution remains in effect for locally rough seas especially in northeasterly swells.

High tide is at 9:54 a.m., followed by low tide at 3:40 p.m. and high tide at 9:51 p.m. The sun rose at 6:02 a.m. and will set 12 hours later at 6:02 p.m.

Saturday will see mainly fair weather with maybe a shower or two.
