By Zoila Palma: The U.S. Centers for Disease Control is urging all people vaccinated for COVID-19 to avoid travel despite getting the vaccine.

New recommendations advised that those who have been immunized can safely gather indoors without masks but should still avoid travel.

People who have been fully vaccinated can gather indoors without masks with unvaccinated people, the CDC said.

Fully vaccinated people also do not need to self-isolate if they have had contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive unless they display symptoms.

Recommendations remain that fully vaccinated people delay domestic and international travel as well as avoid large gatherings.

The CDC reminded that prevention steps help stop the spread of COVID-19.
