By Benjamin Flowers: The National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB), Public Service Union (PSU), Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU) and Association of Public Service Senior Managers (APSSM) are hosting a press conference this morning to speak on the ongoing negotiations with the Government of Belize, which are geared towards saving $60 million from the wage bill.
The presidents of the various unions are gathered to explain its position for refusing the 10 percent salary cuts to teachers and public officers, as well as the long-term impact of the proposed three-year freeze on annual increments.
This is a developing story.
