By Benjamin Flowers: At a press conference this morning, the joint unions negotiating cost-cutting measures with the Government of Belize have called for the removal of Auditor General, Dorothy Bradley.
The unions say that for over 10 years, various government departments have gone without adequate auditing and that the union is no longer convinced that Bradley can adequately hold the post.
The call for her removal forms a part of the unions’ proposal to the government to strengthen systems of oversight and increase fiscal responsibility.
This is a developing story.
