No patients in COVID-Unit in over 1 week

By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ report for Tuesday, March 16 indicated that there were no COVID-19 hospitalizations and no ICU patients admitted.

For 8 days, there has been no patient admitted at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital’s COVID-19 unit and the numbers have shown that overall confirmed cases and hospitalizations have been decreased.

To date, the number of active COVID-19 cases stands at 55.

During an interview with our colleagues at 7News Belize, KHMH Information Officer, Claudette Norales, shared that 500 of their 680 member staff have been vaccinated.

While the number of confirmed cases seems to be decreasing, the Ministry continues to urge the public to adhere to all precautionary measures.
