Over 121 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported around the world

By Zoila Palma: More than 121 million people around the world have been infected with COVID-19, Worldometer reports.

The latest COVID-19 tally noted that global deaths stood at 2,684,717.

The number of currently active cases is 20 million. Of the reactive cases, 88,872 (around 0.4 percent) are listed as being in either serious or critical condition.

Meanwhile, over 97 million people have recovered from the virus.

The US has over 30 million cases with more than 549,455 Americans losing their lives to the virus.

 India has recorded more than 11 million cases and 159,079 deaths; and Brazil 11.6 million cases 282,400 deaths.

Belize has recorded around 12,389 cases along with 316 deaths. To date, 55 cases remain active.
