Weather: Fair weather today and tomorrow to give way to late showers on Thursday

By BBN Staff: Generally fair weather continues, according to the National Meteorological Service. The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies today and partly cloudy to clear skies tonight. Little or no rainfall will develop.

Temperatures: 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 94 degrees inland and in the hills 80 degrees. Tonight, low temperatures will reach 80 degrees along the coast; 73 over interior municipalities and 64 at higher elevations.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 15 to 25 knots; sea state will be rough with six to eight-foot waves. A small craft warning is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas.

Low tide occurred at 6:21 a.m., to be followed by a high tide at 12:02 p.m. and a low at 7:10 p.m. tonight. The Sun rose at 5:59 a.m. and will set at 6:03 p.m.

The extended outlook for Thursday is for generally fair weather with isolated showers, then showers will increase around the country Thursday night.
