Armed robbers ask for water before attempting to rob the homeowner

By Zoila Palma: Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred around 5:35 pm yesterday.

Ernesto Flores,48, told police that he was at his home on Police St, Belize City when he heard someone calling.

He exited and met 2 men who asked for water.

Flores became suspicious of the men’s behavior and refused to assist them.

One of the men then pulled out a gun and told Flores to open the door.

When he refused, the other culprit punched him on the neck causing him to fall.

The culprit with the gun then fired one shot and they escaped.

An investigation is ongoing.
