Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram are down

By Zoila Palma: Facebook owned apps, Whatsapp, Messenger and Instagram are reportedly down for thousands of users according to the Verge. In a report posted a short while ago, the Verge notes that over 120,000 users reported issues with Instagram on Down detector.

Meanwhile, over 20,000 users have reported issues with Whatsapp. Here in Belize a number of people, including BBN staff have not been able to send or receive messages using WhatsApp for part of the morning. The Verge also reports that over 5,000 people reported issues with Messenger as well.

Apart from problems with using WhatsApp here in Belize, numerous Belizeans are also having various issues with using Messenger and Instagram.

Facebook, which owns Instagram and WhatsApp has not yet issued a statement.
