Lords’ Bank man found dead at home with gunshot wound

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a death in the village of Lords’ Bank, Belize District.

On Friday morning, Police in Ladyville visited an unpainted elevated cement building on Cerros Lane in the village and found a man lying face up in a room with an apparent gunshot wound to the body.

This person has been identified as security guard Kevin Lee Moro, Sr., 58, of the same address.

The last person to see Moro alive was his daughter Nicole, who two hours earlier had left her father at home to go to Belize City and returned to the heartbreaking discovery.

Police recovered a 9-millimetre Sig Sauer pistol with loaded magazine containing live rounds, property of Moro’s employer; an expended shell and slug retrieved. A post-mortem examination awaits but police say there was no forced entry observed. Their investigation continues.
