By Aaron Humes: Beginning today, Monday, specialist clinics currently housed at the nearby Central Region Health compound on St. Joseph Street return to the inside of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).
A statement from KHMH’s managing authority says these clinics return to their normal services and times.
The KHMH, the country’s leading referral hospital as well as chief facility for Belize City and the Belize District, has been the focal point of the fight against COVID-19, hosting facilities for the most severely ill.
With the number of cases rapidly falling, the hospital is returning to its other main duties.
The statement concludes, “We continue to ask the public’s kind assistance and understanding in adherence to these protocols as we continue to offer our highest level of care to you.”
