Ministry of Health and Wellness warns of false information being circulated regarding the lifting of curfew

By Benjamin Flowers: The Ministry of Health and Wellness warned today that there is false information being circulated about the lifting of the curfew in place as part of the current COVID-19 regulations.

The image being shared on social media and messaging services purports to give a breakdown of dates and times when several business types will be allowed to open.

“The Ministry of Health & Wellness advises that the Government of Belize is the only entity that can send out news in regards of curfew changes and updates,” the MOHW said. “These updates usually come through the channel of the Government of Belize Press Office with the official letterhead. We continue to advise the populous to STOP THE SPREAD OF FAKE AND UNOFFICIAL NEWS.”

The curfew remains unchanged at 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
