Get Vaccinated to protect yourself and others against COVID-19

By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health and Wellness continues its COVID-19 vaccine campaign countrywide.

Today marks 1 year since the first case of COVID-19 was announced in Belize.

Data from the Ministry indicates that there are now 39 active cases of the virus.

Three hundred and sixteen people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize.

The daily positivity rate seems to be decreasing as well as active cases of the virus.

But, health experts remind that as Easter approaches, the public should remain mindful that COVID-19 is still out there.

Those that have been vaccinated are also reminded to adhere to precautionary measures.

To date, 16,202 people in Belize have received their first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
