Central American Health professionals discuss nutrition

By Zoila Palma: Today, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Dr. Deysi Mendez virtually attended the LIII Meeting of the “Council Directive of the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama” (INCAP).

The discussions included the draft of the annual work report, draft report of financial statements as of December 31, 2020, and annual operating plan and budget 2021 among others.

Participants included the INCAP Council Directors’ members including; María Eugenia Ardón, Advisor to the Guatemalan Minister of Health, and Dr. Deysi Mendez.

Belize presently holds the 2020 pro tempore presidency of INCAP.

“The INCAP Board of Directors and all the Ministers of Health of Central America and Panama will participate in a follow-up meeting on April 27 to approve the drafts that were revised today,” the Ministry noted.
