Nicaragua tramples over Turks and Caicos 7-0

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Nicaragua was merciless yesterday routing Turks and Caicos Islands 7-0 in the World Cup qualifying match at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.

From the opening whistle, Nicaragua came out pounding as Juan Barrera scored in the 3rd. He was going to get another one in the 59th minute.

Ariagner Smith converted a brace in the 8th and 45th minutes for the first half to finish 3-0.

As the referee signaled the beginning of the second half, defender Marvin Fletes made it 4-0 in the 46th.

That was followed by Barrera’s second.

Dshon Forbes nailed the seventh in the 78th before Matias Belli Moldskred sealed the 7-0 trouncing in the 87th.

Belize plays against Turks and Caicos on Tuesday at 3 pm at the same venue and against Nicaragua in June.
