12-year old Belizean girl allegedly part of unaccompanied minors group heading to the US

By Aaron Humes: International news site Breitbart has posted a video of several young people walking the dusty road near Mission, Texas, to begin the process of immigrating into the United States. One of those they spoke to is a 12-year-old girl who identifies herself as being from Belize; her companions, who she met that day and who range in age from nine to 17, are all from Honduras.

She tells the reporter that her mother is back in Belize while her father is in Houston, Texas, but does not say exactly why she is traveling this way to see him. She tells the reporter that they are headed to the Immigration office to turn themselves in as unaccompanied minors traveling to the U.S.

The issue of migration has proven a flashpoint for the U.S. with the Biden administration overturning the tougher policies of predecessor Donald Trump. This has in turn prompted more migrants to try their luck, believing that the Biden administration will be more empathetic to them.
