BREAKING: Ministry of Health and Wellness investigates death of Orange Walk child

By Aaron Humes: The death of a baby, two months old, allegedly after being injected with childhood vaccines last week, is being investigated by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, according to Minister Michel Chebat.

The baby was found unresponsive early on Monday morning by her mother after earlier suffering a fever and lethargy. The child was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk Town but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The child’s father told the press publicly that he suspected a reaction to the vaccine as his child looked and felt well before going to the village clinic.

The Minister promised a further report at the conclusion of the investigation.
