Government approves re-opening of casinos in April

By Benjamin Flowers: After a turbulent year of re-openings and closings in 2020, casinos in Belize are getting the green light once again to re-open in April.

In its now routine Cabinet Brief, the Government of Belize (GOB) said that casinos are scheduled to re-open on April 15.

Cabinet said it took the decision to green-light the re-opening following the approval of protocols presented by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The re-opening coincides with the projected end of the extended 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew under the updated COVID-19 prevention regulations.
