By Rubén Morales Iglesias: In an updated article entitled Ask LP: What countries can I travel to if I’ve had the COVID-19 vaccine? republished today, Lonely Planet writer Alex Butler listed Belize as the first country you can visit.
Butler said that many people in the world are getting vaccinated in the hopes of being able to travel and that a number of countries are now allowing it, affording travelers skipping any quarantine period.
As we said, Belize is the first country on the list.
Butler writes: “Travelers who have been vaccinated can now visit Belize without quarantining, provided they wait until two weeks after their final dose to be inoculated against COVID-19. To enter the country, visitors must download the Belize Health App and enter their vaccine health information no less than 72 hours before traveling to Belize. Travelers who aren’t vaccinated will need to present proof of a negative COVID-19 result from a test taken within 96 hours of travel.” Find out more here
The Belize Tourism Board adds that rapid tests are also accepted as long as the results were given within 48 hours prior to arrival.
The other countries on the Lonely Planet list are: Ecuador, Estonia, Georgia, Guatemala, Iceland, Poland, and Romania.
