Pan American Health Organization representative Noreen Jack: COVAX “a global effort”; 2.5 million doses delivered to the region with Belize delivery

By Aaron Humes: Belize has pushed the delivery total of vaccines obtained through COVAX and the PAHO Revolving Fund to 2.5 million in the region, Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) representative Dr. Noreen Jack reported.

She emphasized the importance of the international cooperation of nations in developing and distributing COVID-19 vaccines, unprecedented in human history.

But this is only the beginning of the end, she warned: public health measures are still in effect and must be followed even as more people get vaccinated.
